Nature is fundamental to the practice of Braucherei, and Astrology plays a significant role in the lifestyle of a traditional Pennsylvania Dutch Powwower. When we try for someone, or create a healing or protective charm, we endeavor to align our work with the most appropriate phase of the moon for the nature of the condition or situation which we are trying for.
This evening, December 9th, 2022, I had the privilege to see the most vibrant Waning Gibbous Moon rising over the fields. The waning gibbous moon phase is the point when the moon is greater than one half illuminated, and it is decreasing.
The waning moon phase in general is the time we Powwow to remove conditions, take away ailments, diminish pain. Specifically, the waning gibbous moon phase is a time to try for bad habits, stress, anxiety, negative patterns, and disruptive behaviors. The waning gibbous moon is an excellent time to Powwow for overall mental health concerns
This is a time of letting go of that which holds us back, creates boundaries and barriers to success, and conflicts within relationships. When we release those things which no longer serve us, we create space for God to plant seeds of fresh new opportunities for us to cultivate within ourselves, for our families, friends, and community.
